Oak Two Compartment Tea Caddy with Mahogany Inlay Circa 1780.

A double tea caddy in oak of particular figure, sometimes referred to as "satin oak" . It is subtly decorated with mahogany inlays.  

Dimensions:

10.25"wide by 5.3"deep by 5.6" tall.

Traces of the original lining.

There is also an ebony centrally placed inlay to the top.
